Another temple p-day I forgot to mention, whoops. Sorry :P

Last week we had a fun New Year's Eve party held at our chapel on P-day. We left early to return home, unfortunately -- mission rules, in flat by 5 on New Years Eve. New Years day we weren't allowed to tract or GQ, but we used our time by having a zone conference and zone lunch, then visiting some of the Chinese members. It was good.

This week we got a new investigator, an Australian, from the English elders. She has been trying to quit smoking for a while, and this past week, she succeeded with the 7 day program! She now no longer has cravings, it's great to see how big a change has taken place in her life since she was first tracted into a month ago. Her baptism is scheduled on the 27th of this month, we're all excited for her.

Last week on Thursday night, instead of having a sports night, we had a time management workshop given by one of our Chinese members. He is awesome, he's from Hong Kong, and used to be an Area 70. He was a CEO in Hong Kong and Shanghai as I recall. We got quite a few members and investigators there to the workshop, which was good--even I learned a lot, despite the fact that it was all in Mandarin.

This year, the time our ward meets on Sundays is changing to the afternoon (times change every year in case it means people will be able to come who haven't in some time). It's nice to be able to do all our studies *and* have lunch in the morning. Last sunday was especially fun because Elder Lee and I had a potential there who was super cool. Fast and testimony meeting was perfect for him, as although he is not a Christian since he has never been baptized, he believes in God and has begun to believe in Christ, and when he introduced himself in opening exercises for priesthood, he just about bore his testimony on that! Haha. He had a great experience at church, and we taught him a good lesson afterwords.

That's it for this week, I think... yeah, not much exciting things, unfortunately, haha. Have a great week!

Elder Ladd
